FAQs

Meals

"What meals are provided for my child?"

A nutritious breakfast, hot lunch and one snack are prepared at the schools  and served daily.

Food may not be brought into the school EXCEPT for allergies with diet restrictions, doctor’s written order, and for any religious reason.

Store or bakery purchased treats may be brought in for birthday parties and special occasions.

Outdoor Play

"Will my child spend time outside each day?"

Outdoor education is an important part of the child  care experience. We will be spending as much time outside as may be constructive. Free play will not exceed a half hour in the morning and a half hour in the afternoon. For learning purposes teachers may opt to keep the children outside longer so dress your child appropriately.

Health & Safety

"When should I keep my child home from school?"

If they have had a fever for the previous 24-hour period.

If they have a heavy nasal discharge.

If they have a constant cough.

If they have symptoms of a possible communicable disease. (These include sniffles, reddened eyes, sore throat, headache, abdominal pain accompanied with a fever.) Please notify the school as soon as possible if your child has a communicable disease.

If your child has diarrhea or has had it for the previous 24-hour period.

"When can my child return to school?"

If their cold is over, but they are left with a minor    nasal drip.

If it has been 24 hours since the symptoms of a fever, vomiting  or  diarrhea has subsided.

If they have been feeling well enough to participate in all the activities of the program.

"How do you ensure the safety of my child?"

All of our campuses are controlled by a password  protected key pad entrance system. Each parent/authorized person is given their own passcode to gain entrance into the building.

Each school has its own IP network camera system that allows viewing of each classroom on a computer monitor. The outside playground area is also monitored by the camera system. This system allows parents with a live shot of each classroom from their home computer via a private IP address provided by the school.

"What is the pick up/drop off policy at the schools?"

Each campus is open for pick up and drop off from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Any pick up after closing hours is considered a late pick up and a late fee will be charged. This charge will begin at 6:35 pm and a charge of $1.00 per minute you are late will be billed.
